Texas Saltwater Fishing License! Make sure to ask about season specific tags when you get your license.
Summer: Light weight clothing. Make sure to cover anything you don't want to burn! Covering your arms and shoulders to protect them from the heat and those rays will save you a night of pain! Wear shorts that breathe and you don't mind getting a little wet at times. Winter: Warm clothes, jackets, water proof jacket and rain pants in case of showers.
Bring a hat
Sunglasses...if you can get polarized then even better!
Some people bring "gators"" and sun gloves to protect their necks and hands from the sun. We think it's smart!
Non-skid shoes. Sneakers are great! Flip flops are not recommended.
SUNSCREEN!!!
Seasickness medication: If you are prone to seasickness, then you may consider over the counter medications such as Bonine or Dramamine. Follow instructions on the box. We hear many report taking it 1.5 hours before getting on the boat helps a lot, but we aren't doctors so check it out with your physician before you try it.
Hand sanitizer or Wet Wipes: You are going to want to eat some chips or the sandwich you pack, so make sure you bring what it takes to keep your hands clean!
Prescription medications: If you suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure, seizures, or anything that requires medication, then make sure to provide an understanding to your captain so that he knows what to do in case of an emergency. While our captains are not medical providers, they can relay information in a emergency. Making your captain aware of possible issues while on the water is safety first!
Dry storage: Bring a water proof bag if you want to protect your belongings. It is a boat. It is on water. It will get wet. No matter how much one tries to keep things dry on a boat, water still gets on everything. You can find some cool waterproof bags out there, so give it a thought before coming!
Cooler: You leave with your catch, so make sure you bring a cooler with ice to initially store your drinks and snacks in and then to take your fish home with you! Remember, we clean and bag the fish for you, so no need to bring a large cooler.
Water: Make sure to bring water, even if you like drinking sodas. We find that people do better on the boat when they drink water to keep them hydrated. Cokes are welcome, just be smart about hydrating!
Cooling towel: Having a cold wet towel to throw around your neck when the sun is beating down is just smart!
Small hand towel: Fish are messy so make sure to pack a small hand towel to keep clean.
For insurance purposes, all passengers will be required to sign a waiver before the trip starts.
